Ultrasound device developed for advanced and subtle fine diagnostics in gynecology and prenatal medicine
Over a period of around 18 months, DMTpe conducted the entire mechanical development of the new VolusonTM E10 ultrasound device. The development process was systematically divided into individual phases and implemented at DMTpe by an interdisciplinary team. The individual phases were coordinated with GE and released.

- Product definition and concept phase
- Project coordination
- Mechanical design, procurement and construction of an industrial design (ID) mock-up
- Coordination of the ID for manufacturability, parts separation and installation space analysis
- Coordination with the electronics developers of the user interface
- Development and production-oriented mechanical design of all mechanical components
- Procurement and construction of prototypes in the individual development phases
- Carrying out mechanical function tests
- Design and delivery of 64 tools for molded components
- Delivery of all molded series parts over a period of about two years
