DMTpe handled the entire mechanical development of the Voluson™ Expert22 ultrasound device—from the initial concept phase through to production readiness. In a structured, phase-based development process, an interdisciplinary team worked closely with GE HealthCare: Each development phase was jointly defined, coordinated, and approved—an approach that reflects the highest quality and process standards in medical technology.

- Product Definition and Concept Phase
- Interdisciplinary Project Coordination
- Mechanical design, procurement, and assembly of several industrial design (ID) mock-ups
- Design and implementation of a new, central parking brake
- Optimization of the ID for manufacturability, part separation, and installation space analysis
- Coordination with the electronics developers of the user interface
- Development and production-ready mechanical design of all mechanical components
- Procurement and assembly of prototypes during the individual development phases
- Conducting mechanical functional tests
- Technical controlling (NPI) for the implementation of approximately 80 plastic injection molds and 10 zinc and aluminum die-cast parts
